Overview

The Healthcare Compliance & Legal Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that our organization adheres strictly to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. In addition to regulatory compliance, the Healthcare Compliance Analyst will assist in investigating compliance-related incidents, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate corrective measures. They will support the selection and delivery of compliance training programs to educate staff on requirements and policies. This role requires a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism, as the analyst will handle sensitive information and must ensure strict adherence to ethical standards. 

This position is a remote role based in the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Assistant General Counsel and the Global Compliance Officer as the subject matter expert to clarify, monitor, and approve Healthcare transactions.  
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and recommend improvements
  • Responsible for maintaining and evolving compliance policies and procedures to reflect current regulatory standards, while ensuring organization-wide training completion through Master Control. Develops, updates, and implements compliance documentation, tracks employee training progress, and coordinates educational initiatives to maintain regulatory adherence and foster a culture of compliance
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting compliance status, risks, and recommendations for corrective actions for quarterly compliance meetings
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining the compliance hotline website, ensuring proper functionality, user accessibility, and confidential reporting capabilities while overseeing system updates, user support, and data security to facilitate ethical reporting across the organization.
  • Responsible for the global management for HCC Liaisons and approval process for HCP engagements and external funding requested in the company compliance portal.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining the Lextegrity compliance portal system, which includes assisting employees with questions, updating approval workflows, reviewing and approving healthcare professional engagements, and processing external funding requests to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Support the US marketing and salesforce as a subject matter expert and train on HCC policy and procedures
  • Partner with Finance and HR and to complete quarterly audit of all employees spend to ensure compliance with policies
  • Responsible for monitoring, managing, and submitting all US transparency reports through the CMS portal and state-specific regional systems to ensure full regulatory compliance with healthcare disclosure requirements. Oversee global transparency processes by tracking submissions, extracting expense reports, and providing support to HCC liaisons to guarantee timely and accurate regulatory reporting
  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication, both internal and external, to effectively present department services, policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Draft and submit responses to external inquiries and requests.
  • Produce accurate and concise work products that require no more than minor revisions.
  • Responsible for reviewing all current and onboarding suppliers/customers to ensure regulatory compliance. Conducts thorough due diligence assessments, verifies documentation against established compliance frameworks, monitors ongoing relationships for regulatory changes, and maintains accurate compliance records to mitigate organizational risk and uphold regulatory standards in partner with procurement and legal
  • Responsible for reviewing, managing, and maintaining the legal and compliance internal website. Oversee content updates, ensure accuracy of legal resources and documentation, coordinates with legal teams for current information, manages user access and permissions, and implements improvements to enhance site functionality and user experience while maintaining compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration, law, or related field.
  • Minimum 3  years’ experience in Health Care Compliance or related role
  • Strong audit experience
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Experience with CMS Transparency Reporting
  • Proficient in conducting testing and monitoring in various expense reporting systems 
  • Must demonstrate strong critical thinking and analytical skills when performing various testing & monitoring of transactional data
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to gather and analyze data, generate reports and propose action plans.
  • Engaging facilitation skills for the delivery of instructor-led Heath Care Compliance training 
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Teams and Powerpoint)
  • Strong understanding of Federal and State Regulations within an HCC environment
  • Previous experience supporting Sales/Marketing departments from an HCC perspective is preferred
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Preferred experience with Lextegrity, Smart Global, Data Basics, Master Control

Actual salary range is based on the requirements of the job and your skills and experience. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and LifeScan reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.

Pay Range

USD $80,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
